Curso: Microprocessors 3 - RealTime Embedded Software for TimeCritical Systems

Categoría: Profesionales INEL/ICOM

All modern vehicles, robots and machinery than move require the use of realtime embedded computing. Although realtime embedded computing and software is not new, the concept and terminology of the CyberPhysical System is new and rooted in realtime computing. This course will cover the principles, foundations and realworld applications of realtime embedded software in timecritical systems. Three main attributes are the basis for realtime computing: timeliness, reliability/safety and phsyical interfaces. All three attributes are intertwined within CPS's where time is the defining element, but limited as a resource by the processor(s), communications, application requirements, frame rates and vehicle/robotic dynamics. In this course, students will be exposed to the state-of-the-art research and development from both an academic and industry viewpoint that encompasses these three attributes. In addition, these attributes will be demonstrated by using an Arduino Uno microprocessor and programming with Real-Time C++ to reinforce the real-time principles. This course will be taught via live Zoom.us video-conference / webinar format from St. Louis, Missouri (and in person at UPRM) by the professor sharing his 36+ years of experience in the use of real-time embedded.
